Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Me-in Seoul (“the service,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), available at meinseoul.app and related subdomains. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. About Me-in Seoul

Me-in Seoul is a travel discovery platform that connects publicly available YouTube vlogs about Seoul with practical information about the places featured in them. We aggregate place data from Google Maps Platform and Naver, summarize keywords from public reviews, and let visitors save spots they want to remember.

2. Operator and contact

Me-in Seoul is operated by [Operator name]as an individual (“we,” “us”). For any question related to these Terms, contact us at seouled.me@gmail.com.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 14 years old to use Me-in Seoul, in line with the Korean Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection. If you create an account, you confirm that the information you provide (such as your email address) is accurate and that you have the right to use it.

4. Accounts and your content

Creating an account is optional and is currently used to save your favorite spots, journeys, wishes, and similar preferences (“Your Content”). You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for activity on your account.

You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display Your Content for the sole purpose of operating, maintaining, and improving the service.

You can request deletion of your account at any time by contacting seouled.me@gmail.com.

5. Acceptable use

When using the service, you agree not to:

  • scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the service except as expressly permitted;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or non-public APIs;
  • republish, resell, or redistribute our content (other than user-shareable links) without our written permission;
  • misrepresent the service, impersonate us, or remove attributions and disclaimers we display;
  • use vlogger or place contact information for harassment, spam, mass outreach, or other abusive purposes;
  • interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure;
  • use the service to violate any applicable law or third party's rights.

6. Intellectual property

Our materials. The Me-in Seoul brand, original UI, original copy, layout, code, and curation logic are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.

Third-party content. Vlog embeds, place photos, reviews, channel names, place names, and similar content belong to their respective rights holders. We surface this content under a combination of (a) the public APIs and embed mechanisms provided by the rights holders or their platforms, and (b) fair use / fair dealing principles for purposes such as commentary, indexing, and information location. We do not copy, store, or modify video files; vlog content is streamed directly from YouTube via the official IFrame Player API.

Your Content. You own what you submit. The license you grant us is limited to operating the service.

7. Third-party services

The service depends on and incorporates content and tools from third parties, including:

When you interact with embedded content or follow external links, the third party's terms and privacy policies apply in addition to ours. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by these companies.

8. AI-generated content

Parts of the service — including place lists from vlogs, place descriptions, chapter labels, and review translations — are produced by AI. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. We do not warrant that AI-generated content is correct or fit for any particular purpose. You should verify important details before relying on them.

9. No professional advice

The service does not provide medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Information about clinics, aesthetic procedures, or beauty services is for general reference only and is not a recommendation, prescription, or substitute for consultation with a licensed professional. Use the service to discover and learn — not to make medical or other professional decisions.

10. Disclaimers

The service and all content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, or freedom from errors. Specific disclaimers about third-party content, AI output, and place information are described in our Disclaimer, which is incorporated here by reference.

Nothing in this section limits any warranties or rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Me-in Seoul, its operator, and any affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or any loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of or related to your use of the service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ten thousand Korean won (KRW 10,000).

Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be excluded under Korean consumer-protection law or other mandatory law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Me-in Seoul and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to (a) your use of the service, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, applicable law, or a third party's rights, or if continued access poses a risk to the service or its users. You may stop using the service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) will survive.

14. Changes to the service and these Terms

We may update, modify, or discontinue parts of the service at any time without notice. We may also revise these Terms. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date and post the new version on this page. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to provide additional notice (such as a notice on the service). Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or related to the service or these Terms will be brought exclusively in the Seoul Central District Court, Republic of Korea, except where mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence requires otherwise.

16. General

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service and supersede any prior agreements on the same subject.
