How our content is created

Me-in Seoul highlights places shown in publicly available YouTube vlogs about Seoul. We use Google's official Gemini API to analyze those vlogs and identify the places they feature. We then enrich each place with information from Google Maps Platform and Naver, and present everything together with the original vlog so you can watch the moment a place appears.

AI-extracted information

Place names, timestamps, descriptions, and chapter labels are generated or refined by AI (currently Google Gemini). AI output can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Treat anything labeled or implied as AI-derived as a starting point — verify critical details (address, hours, prices, accessibility) yourself before acting on them.

Featured, not endorsed

When a place is shown in a vlog, we describe it as “featured in” that vlog — never as “recommended by” the creator. Appearing in a vlog does not mean the creator endorses, sponsors, or partners with that business, and it does not mean we endorse it either. The creator's intent stays with the creator's own video.

Place information from third parties

Address, hours, phone, website, photos, and similar details are pulled from Google Maps Platform and Naver. These can change without notice. Hours, prices, and policies are especially likely to drift. Always confirm with the business directly before traveling, booking, or making decisions that depend on accuracy.

Reviews

Reviews shown on place pages are user-generated content from Google or Naver, attributed to those platforms. They reflect individual reviewers' opinions, not ours. English translations of Korean reviews are produced by AI and may differ in tone or nuance from the original. Star counts and aggregate keywords are statistical summaries, not editorial judgments by us.

No business endorsement

A place being listed on Me-in Seoul is not a recommendation, certification, quality guarantee, or safety endorsement. We do not vet, audit, or verify businesses. Inclusion follows from a place being publicly featured in a vlog or available on a third-party platform we draw from.

No vlogger representation

We do not represent, speak for, or claim partnership with any creator whose vlog is featured. Videos are streamed directly from YouTube via the official IFrame Player API — we never extract, copy, or store video frames. View counts, ad revenue, and engagement on the original video continue to flow to the creator's channel.

If you are a creator and would like your vlog removed from Me-in Seoul, email us at seouled.me@gmail.com and we will process the request within a reasonable timeframe.

Medical, beauty, and clinic content

Some places featured on Me-in Seoul include dermatology clinics, aesthetic clinics, and other businesses providing medical or quasi-medical procedures. The information we display is for general reference only and is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendation.

We do not currently offer medical reservations, consultations, referrals, or patient-introduction services. Decisions about any procedure, treatment, or clinic must be made in direct consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.

Personal experiences shown in vlogs are individual outcomes and should not be expected as typical results for everyone.

Third-party services

To deliver the service we rely on third parties including, but not limited to: YouTube (video hosting and embedding), Google Maps Platform (place data and photos), Naver (Korean place data and reviews), Google Gemini (AI analysis), and Anthropic Claude (review translation). Their respective terms and privacy policies apply when their content or services appear on or through Me-in Seoul.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these companies. We use their public APIs and services and try to comply with their terms in good faith.
